4th Hussar Regiment Captain

Another figurine by White Models (90mm scale, Stefano Borin scupt) and, as usual for this brand, this is a super-detailed piace with lots of small parts to assemble. In this case I used just acrylics. This is also teh first time I try to paint a marble floor. I think the final outcome is not bad, but definitly to improve...

French Zouave

Yes another great bust in 200mm scale, the French Zouave Regiment in 1914 by Life Miniatures. Still acrylic-oil mixed technique, but this time I used a lot both the pre-shading with the primer and the airbrush to sketch the first shades with the acrylic color. I must say that using the airbrush is really cool and it's also super precise, although I was initially skeptical. I think I will start using the airbrush on a regular basis, since it creates a very nice base color for oil painting. Overall, I have vey happy for the final outcome.

Joachim Murat

This bust is indeed very famous and it's been painted by lots of modellers so, this is my take... The bust is manufactured by Alexandros Models and it's in 200mm scale. I painted the bust using the acrylic-oil technique, but it was a challenge for me, especially for the beige uniform. There is still a lot of room for improvement...

French Knight XIVc

Yet another figurine by Pegaso Models, althought this piece was never officially sold in the retail market, since it was given as a gift along with the subscription of the french magazine "Figurines" (no more published). The scene is not scratch built, but I don't remember the manufacturer... I also loved to paint the heraldry on the shield and the vest.

Tuscan Knight

This is another old piece by Pegaso Models, but I always loved the posture of this Tuscan Knight (54mm scale) I had a lot of fun building the base and getting the figure dirty, although I think I went a bit overboard in doing that...

Polish Lancer Trumpeter

This is a super old figurine created by White Models many years ago. This brand is now part of the Masterclass portfolio. This is a bigh and heavy piece in 90mm scale. Assembling and painting this piece was really a challenge and I discovered that all the figurines by the sculptor Stefano Borin are really super-detailed, hence the difficulty... I loved its relaxed posture since the first time I saw it, so I decided to paint it. In this case I also use the mixed acrylic-oil technique.

Sapper Foot Grenadiers of the Guard

This is indeed one of my favorite pieces, the bust "Sapper Foot Grenadiers of the Guard" by Nuts Planet (1:10 scale) I am also happy with the final outcome of the face (in this case I only used acrylics), I think it looks rather "natural" and expressive.

Richard the Lionheart

This is a mini-bust that was manufactured by Lab-54. Another test of oil colors, including the heraldry. I am not much happy with the outcome of face, still lot to learn...
